My Story

I studied Translation and Interpreting at the UAB and then went on to do a master's degree in Translation Technologies (Tradumàtica). As soon as I finished it, I started working as a freelance translator.

Since then, I have worked on a wide variety of projects, from literary translations and subtitling for the deaf to audio transcription for a scientific project!

Thanks to my master's degree, I discovered the world of accessibility — a field I've been dedicated to from the very beginning, to the point of making it my specialty: subtitling audiovisual content for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences.

I'm always learning: I want to understand the changes happening in our field and always offer the best quality.

How I work

A clear process, so you always know where your project stands.

  1. Brief

    I review the material, style guide and technical specs, and we agree on deadlines and delivery format.

  2. Spotting and subtitling

    I spot and subtitle with professional software, respecting reading speed, shot changes and sync.

  3. Review

    I review the subtitles in context, against the video: spelling and punctuation, terminology, timing and, for SDH, sound effects and speaker identification.

  4. Delivery

    I deliver the file in the format you need and make any changes you request after your review.

    Spotting and SDH under UNE 153010 of TV programmes, films, documentaries, series, animation and reality shows broadcast on RTVE, in Catalan, Spanish and English. Over 5,000 minutes subtitled, including Bluey (season 1), Su majestad el caballo and Pret a porter.
